1. No one, including yourself, and no relationship is “perfect.” Love, relationships, and human beings are messy, fallible, and flawed. The best people can hope for is to find someone who loves and accepts them completely: the good, the bad, the flaws, and all. If you find that, that's special. Relationships require effort, work, commitment, patience, and sacrifice.

   There will be ups and downs. Highs and lows. This woman and yourself will change throughout the years. You will, hopefully, grow and mature. If you're lucky, you'll do it together.

   Are you ready for all of this? Only you can decide that for yourself. However, life has taught me that the grass is greenest where you water it. If you're constantly looking over the fence and thinking “What if there's something better?” your relationship will suffer. My advice is to nurture and appreciate what you have before you lose it and can't get it back. Unless, you are really ready to end things with this woman.
