My only worry with that is that she wouldn't be capable of understanding that she was wrong. OP says his girlfriend is autistic and has other mental health issues. Depending on what her mental health issues are, and how they might affect or aggravate her autistic traits, it might mean that she isn't actually mentally capable of making that distinct separation between someone she doesn't like and their belongings (I know a dog is a living animal and not an item, but I just didn't know quite how else to phrase it for my point, sorry! ?). It could be that OP's girlfriend will never be able to understand why this is wrong, and as such never be able to accept accountability for her actions.
