Likely it's an extension of other undiagnosed issues. From what I'm reading it does fall in line with a few different things. But that understanding would require him to seek help.
Regardless if the dude hasn't sought out psychological help in over 20 years, I find it naked to believe he didn't just stumble across a subreddit that suddenly gave him, what he thought, was a justifiable excuse for being a creepy, lying weirdo so he wouldn't have to admit he's just a piece of shit. But that's just my take from reading his posts and comments.
Arguments happen, remember you’re past the honeymoon stage. From here forward it’s up to you to work for this relationship. This means contributing in the healthiest way possible where you are good to her and good to yourself. Read some self help/ relationship books like The 5 Love Languages. You both just need to experience a bit more together because this relationship is fairly new after all.
