Especially when there's a much more pressing/time sensitive situation taking place. She asked for advice about unwanted sexual advances from her BFs brother. Not one person has given advice on that. Yes, I think it needs to be stressed to the daughter that what she asking for is not a grandparent, but a free 24 hour nanny. These aren't normal expectations of a grandparent.
