1. It's clear your husband did something and she wants no part of it. Honestly she could just be social in the context of her son and does not want to be one of those people whose best friends with thier kid's friend's parents. Maybe he felt him being friendly was off-putting and tried to rectify it which made her more standoffish with him. I'm super introverted and when someone, like a married man, is being super extroverted, it makes me want to run away. It could be as simple as that and he feels awkward like he crossed a line when he was just being outgoing. Either way it's clear your husband isn't in her speed dial and he feels weird enough to not reach out to her further. Just keep your eyes open of other behaviors, not specifically in reference to her, but “work wife” Co workers, being buddy buddy with women outside of your personal social circle, but are in his, etc.
