3. I don’t think you’re an ahole for trying to insert yourself here. If you can try and talk to him in private and see what he wants to get out of his future. Does he want to leave her? Is he afraid of finances? If you really want to help him and he wants out maybe offer to take him in until he’s on his feet. Do they have kids?
