My opinion on this is that it's very easy to pretend when it comes to psychology, but then again, i think this line of work is very complicated to get right anyway.

However, the fact remains that your “correction” of the other person's comment is 100% false. And worse it is the type of misinformation that harms the weight loss efforts of many people. That's because they hear statements like yours, look up average TDEE, find they don't lose weight eating less than that number and say oh, I must be one of those people that CICO math doesn't apply to.
There are zero exceptions to CICO math. It is an immutable law of physics. Your specialists have never told you otherwise. You have simply misunderstood what they told you. In your case, you have health problems that cause you to burn so few calories and in such an inefficient manner that restricting sufficiently to lose weight causes malnutrition. In that very rare case of course you should not restrict until the health problems are solved. However, that is not an exception to the math of CICO.
