Instead of texting you, why didn't she run to you if she was so desperate for help and her life was in danger? Also, from the way you respond, it sounds like she's done some attention seeking/ dramatic things before. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Nothing wrong with ending things with him and feeling however you feel, I do however feel you were overthinking the insult way to much, I very much doubt he sees it as a demeaning act, 99% no thought what so ever went into that insult. Its a rather common response when telling someone off like “fuck you”.
If he had used “fuck you” would he be demeaning the act of fucking ?
Once again I'm not commenting on anything related to if you should have ended things with him or not (couldn't care less) or belittling how you felt, just stating how you took the insult is 99% not how he meant it.
