Yes a shelter is temporary. But we don't know where in the world she is. In my country, domestic abuse shelters are very few, with hardly any resources. If she's in a country with proper resources, she stands a better chance. That's why I suggested she reach out to literally anyone. If I had a distant acquaintance from school I hadn't spoken to in 10 years, I'd still help them in a situation like this. I hope she reaches out to people.
