He has been smoking weed since he was 14. That disrupts brain development in someone that young. He probably can’t stop smoking now because he is addicted, both physically and psychologically. So all your demands and concern for the baby aren’t going to make him stop. He needs rehab, probably in a treatment facility for several weeks. Of course this is a terrible time for you to realize this, but you have to face facts. You got together very young and got married young and have matured differently, basically because of the effect of marijuana. I used to smoke weed daily so I know the hold it can have. It makes a person feel incredible. I stopped smoking only because I moved from California to a red state where it isn’t legal, but I miss it. And I started as an adult, not a child. So you have to do some deep soul searching. If you can stay with your family while he goes to rehab and have them help with the baby, that would be best. But if he won’t go and still smokes, he is choosing weed over his family and you have to make other plans for your future. It’s not what you want to hear, but your priority now is your baby.

The way you framed the comment made it sound like you think it's morally wrong for a man to not want to be involved in his kid's life. Like calling op selfish for standing by his decision.
Imo it's wrong to have a kid and then abandon them later in the kids life, but if someone never wanted a child, before the kid is born, then that isn't wrong or selfish. To me it's similar to putting a baby up for adoption. Some people just aren't at a point in life where they can have a kid.
