I've just been remembering how powerless it used to feel when suicide was brought up by my ex so just wanted to add to my suggestion. I've called suicide hotlines for advice about other people before. You might benefit from calling a couple. Just let them know that is could be a manipulation tactic. And something else that might help is to come up with a plan of action with your therapist. I”m sorry your therapist said that to you. It's not true.
I’m happy that I was able to tell her the truth and explain how I feel. It sucks cuz she’s not in a place mentally (ik this usually just and excuse but i feel like it’s genuine) to handle something like that.
