It’s just me, I’m the only person who knows. Because he told me to keep everything between us, including the things we spoke about before I found out he had a serious partner. If I were working in a different field, I would’ve told the fiancé in a heartbeat. I think he was so brazen about this whole thing because he knew he has my career on his hands. We don’t work in a company but an academic setting, and he was the one that let me in my current job + I also work for him. I do have a few other recommendation ideas, but he’s the best one I have and it would be career suicide if I let this go…. and I realized that he probably knew this from the get go.
