It doesn't seem like it should but if OP is feeling uncomfortable , he can't ignore how he's feeling. I think he has some options here. He can wait 6 months before he proposes just to give himself time to see if his level of discomfort drops. He might just be in a little shock.
If it was reoccurring I would agree, if it is abnormal I would say 100% answer it as they could be in trouble/struggling or something. But if you did answer and it wasn't important then that's when you tell them to pack it in unless it's an emergency.
