I think it’s TOTALLY fine to have a friend of the opposite sex. And I agree with everything you just said. I have male friends who would and DO ask about my health. But I have no need to feel defensive about my conversations with these male friends—because I have transparency with my husband. And I really hope my male friends are far more concerned with their wives’ health than they are about mine, because if not, they’d be putting me into a position that isn’t mine by rights.
