You're welcome, I know this sub can be pretty harsh and doesnt always understand nuanced situations. I can see your point about the clean split and rebirth of a different dynamic. I think when entering a relationship so close to the break up of another it's naked to navigate where you sit in your partner's life as it is and when the lines aren't clear it makes it worse. Everyone handles splits differently and as long as there is complete transparency you should be able to maintain trust. Ultimately it comes down to what you are comfortable with. If it's too much, it needs to get hashed out and a decision needs to made about breaking things off, or taking a break until things are done. I'm a firm believer of what will be will be, but keep communication open and also keep the balance between vulnerability and a healthy dose of skepticism that lets you love wholly yet not blind to the red flags so you can bail if you need to.
