1. I'd like to thank you for replying, and you're right. I might be partly to blame, though, since I've always told them that I don't mind listening (It was truthful then, I guess I tend to be the therapist friend). I really do want to help them, but like you said, I don't have any of the skills to actually help them like they need.

   I'll try seeing what I can research about group therapy in Turkey (I.. doubt they'll look into it themselves if I mentioned it), but I'm worried they won't look too deeply into it.

   I will say I've tried being straight to them. I've never said they can't vent, but I've told them venting can only do so much and that they need professional help. It never seems to stick though.

   I'm just scared that drawing a line will make them worse off, because if those thoughts end up getting worse then I'd rather hear about it than hammer down their belief that they're a burden. The possibility of them just- one day actually killing themselves, and not saying anything because I built that wall, is terrifying.
