I had this happen.. Tried to set up a meeting and she kept bailing. She was telling him I was insecure and I was the issue. I was really annoyed by this. Like you refuse to meet me, you look pathetic. I'm not being insecure about some “friend” that doesn't want to meet me. I told him was weird and really messed up and eventually it led to us breaking up… Low and behold as soon as she starts dating someone she actually cuts him off and never talks to him again. She just liked attention didn't even like him. He ruined our relationship for that.

It never goes away. Nothing that you do will ever stop it. Asking her for reassurance will only alleviate it for a very short time, but it may make it even worse when you confront the honest truth.
There is only one way out of it, and that is leaving her. Most of the guys on here say the same thing, most of the women say something else. I speak from experience, as I am sure other men do to. Unfortunately men are very different to women, I wish we weren't.
