In many jurisdictions, the behavior does not have to include threats or physical acts. “Annoyance” or “alarm” is usually considered, which is vague yet OP and partner have a decent case considering the circumstances.
That’s absolutely a possibility I considered. But in case it’s not made up, he needs solid advice to not screw himself over here.

Great! I use the brand TePe, but there are alternatives. Just be aware that you may need different sizes for one person (I take size 3 and 4) because the gaps between your teeth can vary!

I can assure you that a marriage with a devout Muslim man is not going to be something you’re accustomed to. He may not beat you because it’s against the law (beating women is a religious issue, not cultural btw), but coming from someone who saw a marriage between a Muslim man and a white woman up close growing up, it’s not going to be easy, especially for your children, and ESPECIALLY if you have a daughter.
Regardless, I think he made it pretty clear that he doesn’t see marriage in the cards for you two since you’re not willing to convert.
