I (31F) kept a project secret from my husband (37M)

So I wrote a book, and didn’t want my husband to know. I knew he would tease me and I just didn’t want to get discouraged. So I kept it a secret, until it came time to publish and I had to set up our bank account for the money to go into.

The book has actually done really well and I’ve made good money. I’m proud of myself for accomplishing something I’ve always dreamed of doing. But now my husband is constantly bringing it up and poking fun at me. I won’t give him any details about it, because truthfully I’m embarrassed since he’s a very judgmental and critical person.

Also, I had asked him not to tell anyone, but then he announced it to his whole family. Later, when I brought up how he wasn’t supposed to tell anyone about my book he said he “forgot.”

I’m not sure what I’m looking for by posting this. But how should I proceed? He keeps prying for details about it, but then will make jokes later on.
