Hey, D&D is cool. I’ve been married for 18 years and we host in our home. Sometimes I join in, sometimes I vibe in my room and enjoy Netflix or something.
I do think the weekly thing would get tiresome, for sure. I’m not saying you have to change how you do things, or that you’re being unreasonable: it’s your home too, of course, but for us a hybrid of every other session being somewhere else really helped. It just took the edge off by not having company weekly.
You have to remember that you’re getting an outside view. When you were together, I’m sure people around you didn’t realize how awful he is. So it might look like he has it together, but it could be completely fake and just a ploy to get you back.
Maybe he is trying to improve, but do you really wanna take that risk? Better than he improves and doesn’t assault his next partner, but I think taking him back would just have him thinking it’s okay what he did.
Block him and don’t interact with him
Exactly! I can't even explain how many people have put blame on him. I'm not saying he doesn't have any areas of improvement, but why keep calling him out when his wife is doing questionable things? It's like he's going to be blamed if she trips and falls on the coworkers' lap?
