1. So here’s the truth OP: Your girlfriend is allowed to break up with you for any reason or no reason.

   Relationships are a choice. I understand that you think that her reasoning is flawed. But breakups don’t have to have a reason. If she wants it to be over, it’s over.

   The best thing for you to do here is accept her statement that she wants to breakup and let it over. Don’t do the back and forth of breaking up and getting back together. Just move on.

   Maybe consider how telling your partner that something she’s excited about is to you the least exciting thing you can think of, or not. That’s up to you. But honestly, just know that even a year from now this argument is going to seem weird and nonsensical.

   Or just apologize for hurting her feelings. You can always just do that.
