Not really, he has a good relationship with most of his colleagues and one of them is a +5 year friend of his. There's an informal atmosphere at his workplace and he sees them daily, at least two days in the week IRL. We also see a lot of his (now mutual) friends almost weekly (the distance is less of an issue for him since he has a car).
