2. Software engineers ARE working longer hours than teachers lol. Most teachers literally take two months off a year while school is closed.

   I am a software developer and I put myself through school bartending. I can say with 100% confidence that the process to become a good developer is MUCH more difficult and expensive than the process of becoming a good bartender.

   That is why they are paid so much more.
