2. He can’t control what he dreams about but he absolutely can control how to handles the situation after. As a woman there’s already a deeply internalized fear of violent men, and what he told you very heavily plays into that. He could have kept it to himself, and despite knowing it’s a bit of a scary thing to tell a person he said it anyways. Some things should just be kept to ourselves and maybe a therapist, this was one of them. It’s okay if it makes you feel unsafe after hearing it, and it’s okay to leave even if others consider it a uncontrollable insignificant event.
