Taking the tools away doesn't address the problem. Knives and razors are easily obtained; if you take them away she'll simply replace them or move on to something else.
I think the best you can do is let her know that you're available to talk and listen. You can't argue with behavior that is irrational in origin. She needs to talk to a mental health professional if she wants to get better.
