That's not true at all. For instance, a software engineer gets paid more than a teacher, but they are not working longer or harder. A software engjneer is not working longer or harder than a bartender or waitress. One does not beget the other.
It's also not true that they invested more in their education, necessarily. As there are plenty of dropout coders and college educated bartenders.
