Please listen to this advice OP! It is spot on!
It’s time to block her and learn where to go when you need a protection order. That’s not enough to get one, but it’s better to know now than to try to figure it out when you need it and are a bundle of nerves.
Also make a plan of what to do/where to go in case she decides to stalk you. A place to crash, a police station to drive to in case she is following you, Block her on all social media, and go dark on social media for a few months. She has an insatiable need to get information about you, so don’t feed into it.
If she approaches you in public, rehearse the phrase , “I want you to leave me alone and will contact the authorities if you don’t leave me alone right this instant.”
That’s all you say, and then walk into the nearest men’s restroom.
I agree. And threatening suicide is manipulative even worded like that, it's just less threatening. “I’m gonna make you regret it” is worse only because it could be taken as wanting to harm OP rather than himself.
My BFF was in a dead-end relationship. Then she met and married someone else and they are both happy together. The ex did not manipulate her, he just quietly hanged himself from the light fitting after she'd brushed him off by text.
She went back and did all the right things like handling the funeral along with the estranged family because, well that was the right thing to do. For her it was a “no nude feelings” situation. For OP there should be naked feelings because he was the one effing up and sleeping with his ex, and making threats.
