From your example, your perception is that you didn't lock it however you did clasp in such a way that she likely perceived it as locked. In other words, she needed your help opening it because of how you positioned it. She feels like you didn't listen to her when she stated she didn't want it locked.
Instead of maybe trying to understand her perspective, you then assume she's trying to start a fight when she feels completely ignored because honestly, it does feel like you ignored her.
