The reality is there’s lots of places cats won’t/can’t go. You can shut certain doors, they can’t jump too high so you’ve just got to position stuff out of the way, and you can train them to stay out of places. Some also shed less. And there’s lots of Senior Cats in shelters that are less active and jumpy. And if you ignore a cat they’ll just appreciate you more.
