My (18f) boyfriend (19m) wants me to quit the sport I have done for fourteen years. Is this a necessary sacrifice?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year, and we are both from Eastern Europe. However, one of my parents is an English speaker so I am able to write English fairly well. I have been doing rhythmic gymnastics since I was four years old. But my boyfriend has recently started telling me I should stop.

One of his main reasons is the leotards. I compete, which means that I perform in front of people in those leotards. He says they are too tight and too revealing, and that he doesn’t like people looking at me while I’m like that. But I don't really feel that it is that inappropriate.

And because I train a lot, I often get very tired and often injured. This means I very rarely want to have sex with him, which bothers him a lot. But I just don’t really have much of an interest in it in the first place. It’s not because of gymnastics and I don't know why he blames it.

I don't understand if this is an unnecessary expectation from him, or if it's a sacrifice I should be willing to make.
