1. I would have had the conversation after about four paintings. Most likely she would not have listened and I would have bailed. But I have a family member who does beading. We all get it. Most if us have begged off it for Christmas. With no luck. My cousins are not happy bc they have their own homes full of her bedazzlings or whatever they are.

   Someone who inflicts their hobby on you by always “gifting their gift” is actually quite selfish. IDK take up fishing n give her a fish every celebration?

   After years of this you are going to have to be resolute. From experience there will be bewilderment that you are not as into their craft as they are. They will guilt and shame you. And after hours of domestic upheaval you will still be getting their “gifts”
