Nothing suspicious about it.
He thinks he's making you feel grateful he's even with you. ?
You should be grateful that he's so blatant in showing you how little he values you and cares about your self-esteem.
Fuck that noise. That's not how people show you they care for you.
Sometimes people can split amicably. Just because it didn't work out romantically, doesn't mean you need to pretend the other person doesn't exist. It is entirely possible to stay friends with an ex. Just friends. It's a party and both of their friends are there. So what's the harm? They won't have to spend the entire time together and there are other people to mingle with. It would be different if they planned something just the two of them.
Be courteous, say hello, but don’t engage in a conversation.
Like, acknowledge her presence, show that your polite but that’s it.
Not helpful at all, but thanks for trying I guess lol
Don't be with someone who tries to hinder your health and well-being.
That does change the situation, and I didn’t see that comment. I still think the boundary needs to be readdressed, because clearly she either feels differently or is trying to enforce a double standard (never okay).
A conversation needs to be had either way — she can’t be breaking her own rules.
All that being said, it also isn’t necessarily your responsibility to help them heal. Here you just need to balance your feelings for the person with your own patience – in the past, any partners with trauma have usually bought that up themselves because they’re fully aware it can be a large emotional drain on a partner.
Yes.
Next question.
