In inpatient care, there were several relaxation techniques taught to us and my therapist I have now gave me some stuff for anxiety situations which trigger my traumas. I'm not quite sure if this is the same as “distress tolerance”-skills, though. I will ask my therapist again when I see her the next time; if it turns out it wasn't, maybe she has some ideas.
What I want to do is, I suppose, to on-line like I am living right now for as long as possible, but to have a plan for the future, when my father can't take care of me anymore. Because quite frankly, care homes suck and I wish I could keep living on my own somehow.
