She’s literally offering to pay half of the bills (including taxes, utilities, groceries etc) which is more than reasonable. From what I can tell she also helps out with bigger things.
If the bf wants to charge rent to a roommate I 100% get it. But given the entirety of their circumstances it makes almost zero sense to charge rent and profit off of OP. That’s basically saying he’s not interested in committing to her and sees her as a short term tenant
