She said it and there's no reason to assume she didn't mean it – your partner is trying to excuse for her crappy behavior to you and that's going to be a problem if it's not addressed. If he's building a life with you, he needs to put him mom in her place where it's not appropriate to be shitty to you. Unfortunately, if she's decided not to like you, there's really not much you can do other than avoid her when possible and be polite the rest of the time. At the end of the day, it's his mom and he needs to manage that relationship better.
So when you she comes to me, venting about what’s she’s working on, you want me to tell her to talk to her supervisor about it instead? Yeah i can’t imagine that going down too well tbh and dosent seem very emotionally supportive.
I think it's a lack of travel. Folks who don't travel don't seem to understand that there's a sort of instant camaraderie among travelers–especially people traveling alone. I used to travel alone throughout my twenties, and I'd pick up instant friends of both sexes pretty much every where I went. It was so neither of us had to do everything alone, and we'd hang out for exactly as long as we both wanted to go to the same places and do the same things. And we'd break apart just as easily, giving each other our home addresses and promising to keep in touch … and never doing so. Yes, you can hook up with people, too, but that wasn't the general vibe.

Just break up. A one month relationship is not worth it if you’re already running into this kind of shit.
