As someone that spends a lot of time in comedy clubs… it’s a bad idea to date a comedian. Besides the fact that pretty much every comic has an untreated (or poorly treated) personality disorder or addiction – they will use you as a comedy prop. If you have a fight, they will process it with an audience. If you have an embarrassing moment, they will talk about it. Nothing is off limits, really.
The things that make them good at what they do can be antithetical to a healthy relationship. Those that have a good love life are the exception.
To answer your question, it depends on the comic’s relationship with the venue. If he’s touring, odds aren’t good. But if he’s a regular, you have a good shot I think.
