I was a SAHM for nigh on six years. I loved it, and hated it too. I loved it because I love my children more than myself. But the disdain for SAHMs is palpable, and I only got back to earning what I was earning before having the kids long after no longer needing to leave early to pick them up from school.
No woman should have to do that for a child they didn't even want. It's not fair on her, it's not fair on the child.
