I [30M] want a vasectomy, but my fiancée[29F] says she’s on birth control so it’s fine. Should I still go ahead with the vasectomy?

Hey everyone! My fiancée and I have been together for 2 years.

We both have the same mindset about kids earlier in the relationship. She always said "If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't." We both made it clear that we're content with/without kids.

But yesterday, she was like, "I've accepted the fact that I may not have kids, but people make it look like the best thing in the world sometimes." It made me feel like she may not be completely set on not having them.

At this moment, l've decided I do not want kids. I'm getting older and just looking for stability, and someone who fits well with me. I talked about getting a vasectomy but she explained that she is on the birth control shot so it wasn't needed. Oddly when I expressed not wanting to wear a condom, she said "Y'know birth control isn't 100%"

This again made me feel like she didn't want me to make a permanent decision. I'm going to need her to make a decision.
