This is a common manipulation tactic used by toxic people. It is not your responsibility to take care of her or stay with her no matter what she says. As someone mentioned in a similar thread, people who threaten this rarely do it. It’s those who don’t announce it beforehand who actually do.

Yes I totally agree she still obviously loves him as a friend and father the romantic partner part just had to take a backseat while the hight of parenting stress was active (in my opinion below 5 is hardest) .
